Welcome to Generation 2! I found out while writing this up that it was too short to be the last post of Generation 1.
The family starts off by hiring a maid named Maricela. She’s freaking gorgeous.
Eggplant maxes his bot building, but still needs to learn more than half of the trait chips.
Everyone now has to spend time out in the garden.
T3574 joins the family. I have no clue what the gender is. It was the first Plumbot that popped up and we gave it a random name.
It took three trait bundles, but Sentience was found.
T3574 is a level 6 Plumbot with the following trait chips: Sentience, Handibot, Efficient, RoboNanny, AI Angler, Limitless Learning, and Competent Cleaner. She also is a she, in case you were wondering.
Venkat stopped over on the winter holiday to trick or treat. Don’t ask, this game is weird. He hung out and chatted with Orchid while Daffodil learns to paint.
Don’t ask, but yes, Venkat is now wearing his costume. I give up.
Prune has some unfortunate traits and Fig is all over the place with hers.
Prune wants to top the science career, which takes forever. She will just move out.
Prune spends a day hunting down the perfect man for her.
Before the end of the night, she gets engaged to a guy.
So, all of a sudden, I want Prune to be heiress (LOL). She married Tony the Millionaire and moves in with him.
I must admit that I did have to do a bit of surgery on his eyes. His parents are Julian Poirot and Annie Lau, two people who should not mix genetics.
While Prune is getting her man, Fig is off getting hers too.
He is Demarco Flynn-Evans, the son of Cornell Evans and Maggie Flynn.
They tied the knot and we said goodbye to Fig.
Orchid finds out the gender preference of Eggplant and Daffodil.
I can work with this.
Prune’s portrait is Orchid’s first masterpiece.
Aww, Young haunts for the first time, but only plays video games the whole night. His nose is more pronounced as a ghost. Holy moly.
Already? The last two weeks took forever, but now it seems to be flying by.
With less people in the house and birthdays all about to happen, Turnip and Olive return home from military school.
Orchid spends some time with both Olive and Turnip before buying cakes.
Feels weird having such a small household again.
Turnip is a whackjob, but I’m seriously going to miss Eggplant.
To put the timeline into perspective, Passion Fruit is a full adult now.
Misti is a cute little girl.
Daffodil paints Eggplant for her first portrait.
Orchid is presumably painting her last portrait if her age is any indication.
It’s graduation day! We sort of had Prune and Fig move out before their graduations, so we add them back into the house with MC (so as not to add any money in).
I laugh at Prune’s title.
Turnip actually rolled Become an Astronaut, which is why he gets to move out.
Choices for spouse are dwindling down. I have the population locked at 50 sims, so no new sims are being born and have not for many, many weeks. There are only two gay men left single in town, and Eggplant snatches up Lydell.
Lydell is the son of Danelle and Elissa Tart-Orchid, from immigration.
While Turnip snatches up Neal.
Neal is the son of Keely and Damion. His sister is Sherri, who is married to Banana and he is the uncle of Jeremiah, who is married to Radish.
Orchid works diligently to get Turnip’s portrait done.
Orchid: Why is everyone so addicted to computer games? I just don’t get it.
T3574: It’s fun and it wastes time waiting for babies to be born. Hurry up and bring me babies!
I was hunting down sims for the family tree and found this little guy. Henry is the son of Prune and Tony. I will hopefully get to update the grandkids soon.
Orchid finally finishes that portrait and maxes her painting while doing it.
Daffodil: Mom, stop bugging the maid, it’s time for our birthday!
That’s better. The girls have their cake immediately after school. Orchid is at 89 days and I was worried that she might pass before they grew up.
Of course they are the first ones that I didn’t record their age up traits. Oops.
Olive: Eccentric, Lucky, Family Oriented, Brave, Unstable. New: Family Oriented. LTW: Become an Astronaut.
Daffodil: Natural Cook, Perceptive, Handy, Daredevil, Loner. New: Natural Cook, Hopeless Romantic (nerd trait). LTW: 5-Star Chef.
Olive is gay, since I don’t recall mentioning it. The only gay, single female in town is Natalia Sielen-Doe, cousin of Jeremiah.
Olive, being away at school for so long, was a big downside. Her and Turnip really had to work hard at befriending and romancing their chosen spouses.
Natalia is the daughter of Seema Seilen and Joseph Doe. She had extensive surgery since she doesn’t produce children for heirs. The Doe’s are some of the ugliest sims I have ever encountered.
Olive proposes, but the marriage will have to wait until after graduation.
That does not stop them for getting their little family started though.
Orchid and Daffodil spend the evening together in the garden.
Young comes out to visit for the second time.
Daffodil: Mother, it’s just a dead plant. It’s going to be okay.
Orchid: But it’s one of Fig’s last plants *sob*
Graduation day is here! Woo!
I was on triple speed and missed the diploma toss AND Daffodil’s pop up. Dammit.
Daffodil was Valedictorian and voted Most Likely to Have a Large Family.
Olive heads over to Natalia’s house and they have a quick marriage and she moves in with her.
Next door, Orchid notices that Prune is having a party and invites herself over.
She meets Henry, who was screaming for food.
Orchid: WTF kind of chess set is this? Make it stop!
One of the Salas ghosts was also in attendance.
Daffodil: How dare you start dating someone! I told you the other day that you were marked for my family.
RoboNanny to the Rescue!
T3574 is ECSTATIC to have a baby to care for finally.
She even insisted that a crib be bought for him.
Daffodil gets her Hopeless Romantic trait here.
Daffodil waits a day and then confronts Venkat about his getting a relationship. They have traits in common.
Daffodil: So, want to make babies with me?
Daffodil convinced him to dump whoever it was he was dating and then makes it back up to first kiss stage.
Of course, she is right in with the point making.
He agrees to be her boyfriend and to move in.
Too bad skill challenges aren’t a thing in a legacy.
Things settle in nicely. They are not rushing to engagement or marriage just yet. His portrait gets painted first thing.
He is a Bookworm like Orchid, so they get a long really well. He does get a job in Education just to get out of the house for a bit.
He loves video games, which makes T3574 happy.
T3574: Nothing would make me happier than to have some babies to care for.
Venkat: It’s a good thing I need five of them, right?
We say goodbye to another of Fig’s plants. They are dwindling down so fast.
Daffodil finally rolls a want to get married while having to workout for fours.
Venkat’s portrait for the family tree.
More grandbabies were born! Lydell and Eggplant have Marvin, while Turnip and Neal have Christel and Michelle.
Orchid’s oldest grandchild, Misti (Passion Fruit and Gene), is now a teen.
Her baby brother is Randy and her baby sister is Erica.
Dylan (Banana and Sherri) is one day from teen.
His baby brother is Denim and his baby sister is Trina.
Denise (Radish and Jeremiah) will also be a teen in one day.
Meredith is 3 days from being a teen.
Fig has had Bart, who no one on the planet knows where he gets that skin from.
After that is Henry, who you saw already followed by the three new infants.
The huge family tree can be found here and should not have any spoilers.
The hidden portrait gallery.
Generation 1 Points: 26
Orchid made to to 90 days and counting so far. I hope she stays for a long time.
We will have a proper introduction next time, I promise. I just was not prepared to make this Generation 2’s first post at all.
